- Start off by making a .gif. If you don’t know how to make a .gif you can look through the tutorials in this blog and find MANY ways to make them and tips as well on how to make them hq.
- Place your coloring at the top.
- Okay now go on your animation frame palette and select the FIRST frame.
- Now duplicate the frame 4 times. You can do this by clicking this button [x]
- Go to your layers palette and duplicate the first frame 4 times as well. [x]
- [x] Now select the first frame and the layer that you first duplicated (make it visible).
- Go to Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur. Radius: 2.4
- Now select your second frame on your animation palette and select the second duplicate.
- Go to Filter → Blur → Motion Blur. Angle: 0 Distance: 12
- Select your third frame and select the third duplicate layer on your layers palette.
- Go to Filter → Blur → Motion Blur. Angle: 62 Distance: 21
- Select your fourth frame and select the last duplicate layer.
- Go to Filter → Blur → Motion Blur. Angle: 0 Distance: 12
- And your done with the motion effects.
- Now to make the first few frames brighter and the rest to be the normal coloring:
- I’m going to add a white gradient. Put it at the bottom of your coloring and set it to soft light. [x] ignore everything other then were it says gradient fill. those are going to be your settings.
- Now add a White color fill at the top of your coloring and set it to screen. And lower the opacity to whatever you like.
- This is where you should place your gradient fill and your color fill. [x]
- Now so that only your first 4 frame layers are brighter then then rest of the .gif:
- To select multiple layers, click on the one of the layers and click the last layer and shift key at the same time. [x]
- Select all your frames and change the time of your frames. In this case I uses 1.0 seconds.
- Save for web and devices.
- Your done.

I hope that made sense. I’m sure I said this a bunch of times but I think I’m pretty bad at explaining things. :3 Any questions regarding this tutorial, you can send them in the fan mail.
